For those who are interested in upgrading for Free to the new Windows 10, Beware! There have been lots of good reports, but a couple of key things need to be pointed out:
- Windows 10 has a small footprint, and is designed to be fast. However, all upgrades even to SSD are noticeably slower that what you can get from a fresh install.
- Some upgrades are going bad and require a re-install to fix.
- There is no real advantage over a good working Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 machine. Unless there is a very specific feature you are wanting to take advantage of I would hold off.
